I recently purchased an 80 acre parcel and was using 11 Cuddeback cameras to help me choose productive trails for bow stand locations. The day after I set this camera I got this high quality daytime photo of this beautiful buck. Although not a monster the photo quality was exceptional and may be one of the nicest live photos I have of any deer I have actually harvested. Unfortunately, I never saw this buck while on stand during the bow season. I did get several additional nighttime photos indicating he was still in the area. It was actually bittersweet that this buck showed up in this exact same spot on opening day of gun and was easily harvested. I would have never had a stand in this unlikely spot if it had not been for my Cuddeback photo in October.

The day after I set this camera I got this beautiful daytime photo of this buck. Although not a monster the photo quality was excellent as was the pose. I never saw this buck during the bow season while on stand although he came through this area several times during the evening which I captured with my Cuddeback. Slightly bittersweet (because I had my heart set on a bow harvest) but this buck popped up in this same spot on opening day of firearm and was easily harvested.

Getting ready for the 2018 Kansas rut, I set one of my several Cuddeback cameras over a fresh scrape to what we might be in store for. Good news is we have got several great photos of 3 big shooter bucks hitting this community scrape and a bonus photo of a hawk which had just grabbed lunch. Thanks to the Incredible trigger speed of the Cuddeback, I am able to share this really cool photo. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

In the Wildlife & Energy Programme of the Endangered Wildlife Trust, we often make use of camera traps i our line of work with our local utility, Eskom. We do this so as to increase our understanding of the behaviour and to better mitigate against any negative interactions. These images are of an adorable individual from a camera placed in Limpopo, South Africa – the Pearl Spotted Owlet Glaucidium perlatum. These are one of southern Africa’s smallest owls and are found throughout South Africa, mainly in bushveld and woodland. Weighing in at only 85g, these ferocious predators are known to hunt prey much larger than themselves. For instance taking a 200g Laughing Dove!

Can you say cuteness overload? I had no idea that I would get photos like these. These pups are going to be a handful for the mother.

I hadn't checked my camera for over a month and was very surprised to find several birds in this location "Posing Pretty" for the camera. I know now where I'll be for the 5th season.

This location is outside our hunting camp window. This moose has been visiting our salt block for the last 5 years. She usually has 2 fawns in the spring and brings them around also. This day she took a little more than a half hour nap. She also attracts the occasional bull and wolf.

Always nice to see black bear cubs.
